It is 10:45pm and I am at 30.6%.  Something is happening here, something magical.  I am understanding some things about me, sure…but.  I don’t know how to describe it.  I feel the reality of my Higher Power more.  I am drawn to this Being.  I will not kid you, every time I look at one of these resentments, feel it again, it makes me sick inside.  I fight giving into self-loathing.  Or anger and distrust.  Yet I can sense that I am not alone in this process.  I need that.  The meeting was good tonight.  And I am connecting again.  I have had a withdrawal reaction as the 4th step began.  Not so tonight.  Hope is growing in me.

My first 4th step / moral inventory was much easier than this one.  This one is proving to be particularly painful.  I had not really expected that.  I think I conducted the express version the first time around.  I attempted to hand off a computer print out to my sponsor, to see if I was going in the right direction, and to see if would could discuss it in piece-mill.  He rejected it en todo.  Pen to paper, not computer print outs.  Inwardly I balked, and even made comments that he must believe there is some kind of magic to putting it on paper and handwriting it.  He seemed to agree, and that it keeps us from trying to find that easier, softer way.

I completed the first column, listing what I am resentful at on a word document.  Then I loaded that list into a spreadsheet and number coded my specific items.  The second column is populated by a brief explanation as to the cause of my resent.  I entered the numbers that corresponded with my listing in the second column of the spreadsheet.  Then I letter coded the seven areas the BB lists as “Affects my;” A. sex relations, B. self-esteem (fear), C. security, D. personal relationship, E. pride (my need for), F. ambitions, G. pocket book.  So column 3 would be populated with codes such as 1=A,C,E,F or 19=A-G.  All this was inspired from the guidance on page 65 in the BB.

On page 67, the list is evaluated without the thought of the fault of others.  I am only looking at me.  The fourth column is what I call the four sin analysis.  “Where had I been selfish, dishonest, self-seeking,  and frightened?”  On my spreadsheet I actually listed out these four topics of self-analysis and would put the item number in one, none, some, or all of these four.  I stayed up until around 4am completing this process.  Today I am working on putting pen to paper based off of this captured information.  I have a total of 62 resentments, and I have written out 3.  I guess that puts me at a 4.8% completion rate on resentments.  Numbers seem to calm me.

I guess I can just keep posting this ratio until I am finally finished.  I feel like crap.  Sponsor has advised me to make meetings while doing this.  Make many, share, connect.  I tried last night, didn’t feel like really talking to anyone.  But I wanted to.  Just couldn’t.  I am tired.

—————————-

It is an hour later, 3:30pm.  Another resentment to paper.  6.5%.  I am at this awful place of not wanting.  I do not want to be intoxicated, and yet I do not want to be sober.  I hurt.  I’m tired.  I need a meeting.

—————————-

4:00pm and another resentment is on paper.  8%.

—————————-

4:30pm – 9.6% – I have got to take a break.  For my own encouragement, and for your clarification, I have %100 completition on the first 3 columns.  The 9.6% is for the fourth and final column.  I am going to cook up some Tilapia and, by the way, Happy Easter Fertility Day, Christian Ressurection Day, Jewish Passover, and for me, Zerucave’ Erection day.

I hope to close up the 4th step on the 4th day of the 4th month.  I have included a diagram that came to me about the steps.  It is my personal beliefe that prime numbers represent the skeletal structure of the universe, and I have been working to discover a formula to identify them.  I believe that they somehow represent the god entity, the Higher Power.  Just a note, I see the number 1 as a super prime, the birthing of all other primes.  The rules of arithmetic do not acknowledge it as prime.  In my gut, I know that 1 and 0 are extremely important.  And that 1 is a super prime.  Prime numbers reveal the presence of the HP and that is why we have not nailed down a formula to identify primes.  I have circled all prime numbers in the process.

In geometry, if one side is A and another is B, then the resulting corner is A/B.  I have noticed a continium in the step process that goes like this:  Steps 1 – 4/5 – 10.  Steps 2 – 6/7 -11.  Steps 3 – 8/9 – 12.  So I ran these figures as if the were expressing  three different corners.

The geometrical monster below is the result of these speculations.  I must now return to the 4th step, for it is empowerment that I seek.

Dream analysis anyone?  I was a Hindi ruler last night.  I had a woman who asked that her family be pardoned, and I told her that if I did such a thing for her family, that they would become powerful.  They would have to be willing to pass that power on to others, and that eventually it is a power that would encompass all of humanity.  Then I flowed into some early American settlement dressed like members of “Little House on the Prairie.”  Flood waters came and we travelled to a place in the Talladega National Forest.  In between that transition, my son had a wreck in a white lumina van.  I was literally ripping metal doors away to get to him.  He was fine.

Finally, I left the group and my family to run across familiar wooded land I knew as a teen, but was followed by some of my son’s friends.  I was doing some sort of activity, a combination of run and dance that got me close to the feeling of flight.  I saw my son running backwards in a Michael Jackson moonwalk that was – unnaturally fast.  I laid down on the dirt road, and the teen friends were nearby, chatting.  A native American came walking by in his or her own ecstasy (I do not intend that as insult, the gender was not specific), fingers outward and wiggling – I reached out and touched the fingers after the Indian passed by on my right.  I could hear the boys ridiculing this individual, and I said “Things are not always as they appear.”  The individual came back to us, and pointed into the woods at a pepper plant and said “loi, loi.”  I had the feeling that it was the name for the pepper plant in his/her native tongue.  We ate all the peppers on the bush.  And attempted to exchange names.

Is any one familiar with a language where the peppers would be referred to as loi?  I guess it could be loy phonetically.

Am I alive again?  Has the panic passed?  Can I truly “save myself”?  Detached and alone, isolated from the collective that is the human species.  In denial of the existence of the great what-ever, the unknown God.  Maybe.  It is possible I could carve out a decent survival.  In between putting out fires, I could farm the scared landscape of my personal battleground.

I heard someone quote Bill W. in the meeting last night (although I don’t believe the quote originated with him); “The good is the enemy of the best.”  This individual in the meeting said that for him, the third step, making a decision to turn his will and the care of his life over to the Higher Power, was a promise to trust the Creator of the Universe and accept that God’s will and care would produce the best in his life, over the good.

And I have seen that my efforts to empower my will in this life are almost always the product of fear and panic.  “If I don’t do this I will not be good enough, I will not survive, my world will fall apart.”  When I trust this Higher Power, who is connected to all things, I relax and learn to accept the best.  For it seems the best only comes through acceptance, and the good only comes through a life of struggle and internal civil wars.  That has been my experience so far.  I could be wrong, but I don’t think so.

“Praying for His will only.”  I take action as I am directed through intuitive guidance, He gives results beyond my limited personal expectations.  I’ve seen it happen.  I trust the process.

I watched the movie “Secretary” this weekend.  It is a Lion’s Gate production and I love it.  There is one point where the submissive is sitting with other females by the pool, and one of them asked her about the Lawyer she worked for.  “Is he good?”  She breathes out the answer, “He’s the best.”  I want my slave to know that about me as well.

Fear is the Final Frontier…to boldly go were my mind has not gone before.  To seek out new life, and new civilizations…these are the voyages of the US Crazification.  Is there a spiritual experience capable of rocketing me into the 4th dimension and out of my personal dementia?  A warp drive for the warped driver?  Or will the killer bunny cause me to “run away! run away!”

Fear shoves its way around my belief systems and deep affections to become my only real Higher Power.  Intuitive guidance becomes pure static at best.  I am transformed into a beast hiding in the corner.
